Boston Celtics vs Milwaukee Bucks Betting Analysis<\/h3>\n

The Milwaukee Bucks visit the TD Garden for an Eastern Conference showdown with the Boston Celtics on Christmas day. The Bucks lost 114-106 in Cleveland on Wednesday and play on the road Friday in Brooklyn.<\/p>\n

The Celtics lost their third straight game at home against the Indiana Pacers and continue their home stand Friday against the Minnesota Timberwolves. This is the first of three games in a regular season series they split 2-2 last year. Tip-off is scheduled for 5:00 PM EST\/2:00 PST on ABC\/ESPN.<\/p>\n

Bucks Bring Gifts To The Garden<\/h3>\n

The Milwaukee Bucks sit at 22-9 on the season after losing on the road in Cleveland on Wednesday. Giannis Antetokounmpo led all scorers and rebounders with 45 points and 14 rebounders to go along with four assists.<\/p>\n

Brook Lopez chipped in with 14 points while Jrue Holiday added 9 points, 9 rebounds and 8 assists. Milwaukee lost the turnover battle 21-10 and that was the difference in the game. The Bucks offense ranks 17th in scoring with 112.9 points per game.<\/p>\n

Defense is their calling card as they rank 4th in scoring with only 108.9 points allowed per game. Khris Middleton missed Wednesdays game and is listed as questionable as the only Milwaukee player listed on the report.<\/p>\n

Celtics Play Host On Christmas Day<\/h3>\n

The Boston record dropped to 22-10 after falling short in their third straight home game against the Pacers. Jayson Tatum stormed back into action with a game high 41 points to go along with 5 rebounds and 4 assists.<\/p>\n

Jaylen Brown recorded a 19 point, 10 rebound double-double while Malcolm Brogdon added 18 points off the bench. Boston had a tremendous 62-47 rebounding advantage but lost due to being outshot 46.9% to 38.6%.<\/p>\n

The Celtics defense hasn’t lived up to last seasons expectations as they currently rank 13th in scoring with 112.3 points allowed per game. However the return of Robert Williams III will surely change improve the defensive unit.<\/p>\n

Scoring hasn’t been an issue as Boston boasts the #1 scoring offense in the league with 118 points per game. Marcus Smart missed Wednesdays game due to an illness and is the only Celtic listed on the current injury report.<\/p>\n

The Boston Celtics are favored by 4 points with a total set at 223. This is a Christmas day game to get excited for as this could easily be an Eastern Conference Finals showdown.<\/p>\n

Looking over last seasons regular season series, the home team won all four games and the lowest total was 220. They ratcheted up the defense in the post-season, with the road team prevailing at points.<\/p>\n

Without seeing Friday’s results it’s tough to know what each teams current state of mind will be. But the Celtics can’t be happy losing three straight home games to the likes of the Orlando Magic and Indiana Pacers.<\/p>\n

The Bucks could also be playing without Khris Middleton, leaving them short a star player. I’m backing the Celtics and the over in this contest and feel they go hand-in-hand. The home teams generally dictates pace and Boston has trended towards high scoring games.<\/p>\n
