Nashville Predators vs Edmonton Oilers Betting Analysis<\/h3>\n

The Edmonton Oilers will hope for a change in form going on the road on Monday after dropping each of their last two games at home against the St. Louis Blues and Anaheim Ducks respectively.<\/p>\n

Saturday\u2019s loss against the Ducks came despite Edmonton outshooting Anaheim by a mammoth 49-17 shot count also, with Ducks goalie Lukas Dostal having an outstanding game in nets for the Ducks in that one.<\/p>\n

Nashville meanwhile are faring even worse, coming off their sixth straight loss on Saturday with a 3-1 road defeat away to the Colorado Avalanche, with one of those six losses coming against this same Edmonton Oilers team last week also.<\/p>\n

These two teams have played twice already this season with Edmonton winning both games by convincing three-goal margins.<\/p>\n

Oilers Running Roughshod Over The Predators<\/h3>\n

The Nashville Predators may well be the perfect opponent in which to face tonight for Edmonton as the Oilers have absolutely dominated the Predators over recent series meetings.<\/p>\n

Edmonton are currently on an 8-0 run in head-to-head meetings against Nashville over the last few seasons and most of them haven\u2019t been all that close either, with Edmonton notching an average of 6.5 goals per game against the Predators already this season.<\/p>\n

Nashville Struggling On Offense<\/h3>\n

The Nashville Predators can blame a lot of their recent issues on an offense that has generated just 2.41 goals per game this year, with only the Chicago Blackhawks posting a lower overall scoring offense than the Predators have managed this season.<\/p>\n

That lack of penetration in attack for Nashville extends to their statistical data also, with the Predators ranking 30th in the league in overall offensive xG this season along with 31st in shot conversion percentage also.<\/p>\n

Nashville Predators vs Edmonton Oilers Prediction<\/h2>\n

While Edmonton have no doubt struggled over recent matchups, we saw enough in that Anaheim loss personally to suggest they should have enough to bounceback with a win tonight against a really struggling Nashville Predators team.<\/p>\n

Nashville, despite all their struggles of late, do have a competent defense on which to fall back on, but they face an Edmonton Oilers team later tonight that ranks top five in both scoring offense and offensive xG this season, and one that has already netted 6.5 goals per game against them with both meetings being won by multiple goal margins.<\/p>\n

So we don\u2019t see the Predators having enough to keep the Oilers out in this one. Take the Edmonton Oilers -130 to win outright on the road on Monday night against the Nashvile Predators.<\/p>\n
