Sporting CP vs Maritimo Betting Analysis<\/h3>\n

Group-leaders Sporting have been dominant in this Portuguese cup campaign, dispatching SC Farense and Rio Ave by an aggregate score of 8-0 in their first two matches. They now host a last-place Maritimo squad that was held scoreless by those two teams.<\/p>\n

Maritimo secured an excellent 1-1 draw against Sporting CP the last time these two teams played back in February, but beyond that, they have lost each of the previous three games they have played against the Portuguese giants.<\/p>\n

Tough Season For Maritimo<\/h3>\n

Maritimo\u2019s struggles have extended well past the Taca de Portugal. In addition to sitting in last place in their cup group, Maritimo currently sits second-from-bottom in the Portuguese league also.<\/p>\n

Maritimo has the league\u2019s worst defensive record this season, giving up 2.08 goals per game to opponents on average. Maritimo also owns the league\u2019s second-worst offensive record this year, and will need a monumental turnaround in the second half of the season if they\u2019re going to be able to stave off relegation.<\/p>\n

Sporting Looks To Return To Glory Days<\/h3>\n

The Taca de Portugal\u2019s most successful club, Sporting Lisbon, will look to return to the glory days this year by lifting their first title in four seasons.<\/p>\n

Sporting last lifted the title back in the 2018-19 season with a penalty shootout win against FC Porto in the final, but has failed to even reach that penultimate stage across any of the previous three seasons\/ That is something they hope to change this time around.<\/p>\n

Sporting CP vs Maritimo Prediction<\/h2>\n

Sporting Lisbon shut out both of its previous two opponents in this competition, and with the way Maritimo is struggling to score this year, the \u201cSporting CP to win to nil\u201d prop looks like the most appealing play to make in this one.<\/p>\n

Maritimo has failed to score a single goal across any of their previous four games while Sporting CP has kept three clean sheets across their last four games in all. We expect another shutout victory here on Tuesday.<\/p>\n
