Philadelphia 76ers vs Los Angeles Lakers Betting Analysis<\/h3>\n

The Los Angeles Lakers visit the Wells Fargo Center for an interconference clash with the Philadelphia 76ers on Friday night. The 76ers ran out of gas on Monday night in a 132-123 double overtime loss against the Houston Rockets.<\/p>\n

The Lakers fell 126-113 against the Toronto Raptors on Wednesday night. This is the first of two meetings in a regular season series that Philadelphia swept 2-0 in the 2021-22 campaign. Tip-off is scheduled for 7:30 PM EST\/4:30 PST as the first game of an ESPN Friday night doubleheader.<\/p>\n

Shorthanded Lakers Crushed In Toronto<\/h3>\n

The Los Angeles Lakers record fell to 10-14 on the season as they traveled north of the border and lost 126-113 to the Toronto Raptors. The Lakers were ridiculously shorthanded as Lebron James, Anthony Davis, Patrick Beverley and Wenyen Gabriel were all our due to injury.<\/p>\n

Juan Toscano-Anderson started the game but went down with an ankle injury that is going to sideline him indefinitely.<\/p>\n

Dennis Schroder led the team in scoring with 18 points while Thomas Bryant added 16 points. Damian Jones chipped in with a 10 point 10 rebound double-double off the bench. The Lakers are playing the fifth game of a grueling six game road trip that ends Sunday in Detroit.<\/p>\n

LA ranks just above average in scoring at 12th with 114.2 points a game. Defense has been an issue as they sit at 21st with 115.6 points allowed per game.<\/p>\n

Both James and Davis are questionable for this game, but since James was held out due to high usage the prior night and Davis’ injury is merely an illness both players should be on the court against Philadelphia.<\/p>\n

Philly Falls In Double Overtime<\/h3>\n

The Philadelphia 76ers now sit at .500 with a 12-12 record after collapsing 132-123 in double overtime against the Houston Rockets. James Harden suited up for the first time since November 2nd and looked rusty as he scored 21 points on only 4 for 19 from the field.<\/p>\n

Harden was on a minutes restrictions after missing 14 games with a tendon strain in his right foot, but played 39 minutes as the game went to double overtime. Joel Embiid had 39 points before fouling out in the first overtime and Tobias Harris added 27 points.<\/p>\n

The 76ers are currently on a three game losing streak with losses to Cleveland, Memphis and Houston. Philadelphia is still playing without the services of point guard Tyrese Maxey (foot), who is the teams 2nd leading scorer with 22.9 points per game.<\/p>\n

Embiid leads the team with 31.9 points, 9.6 rebounds and 4.9 assists per game. The Sixers have struggled to score as they rank 27th with only 109 points a game. Defense is their calling card as they rank 2nd in scoring with only 107.6 points allowed per game.<\/p>\n

Other than Maxey, Danuel House Jr & De’Anthony Melton are both questionable for this contest while Georges Niang has already been ruled out with a foot injury.<\/p>\n

Philadelphia 76ers vs Los Angeles Lakers Player Prop Prediction<\/h2>\n

The Philadelphia 76ers are 3.5 point home favorites over the Los Angeles Lakers with a total set at 224.5. Both teams are desperate for a victory as the Sixers have lost three straight while the Lakers have lost two in a row.<\/p>\n

Lebron James has been on a mission recently, crushing his Points + Rebounds + Assists total of 39.5 in three straight since returning from injury with 42, 43 & 47 PRA. He should be ready to go after three days off as he missed the last game for injury maintenance.<\/p>\n

This is a national TV game and we know Lebron loves the spotlight. He also enjoys playing in Philadelphia as he put up 47 PRA in his last game there. I fully expect Anthony Davis to play but if he happens to miss this game then James will fly past this total.<\/p>\n
