Colorado Avalanche vs New York Rangers Betting Analysis<\/h3>\n

The Colorado Avalanche will look for a way out of their current rocky patch after dropping three straight games for the first time all season on Wednesday night with a home shutout loss against the Boston Bruins.<\/p>\n

The Bruins dominated offensively in that game, owning a double-digit shot advantage over the Avalanche and that\u2019s something that needs to change if Colorado are going to snap out of their current funk after losing four of their last five games overall.<\/p>\n

The New York Rangers meanwhile have definitely turned a corner of late, putting up 11 goals over their last two games against the St. Louis Blues and the Vegas Golden Knights respectively.<\/p>\n

Prior to those wins however, the Rangers had lost five of their last six games themselves, although they have been extremely solid on the road this year with an 8-4-1 record.<\/p>\n

These two teams faced off against each other once already this season, with Colorado winning in a shootout in New York back on October 25th.<\/p>\n

Panarin Continues To Be One Of The Rangers Leading Lights This Year<\/h3>\n

That recent two-game winning streak for the New York Rangers has seen LW Artemi Panarin back in form for the Rangers as he was involved in five of the Rangers’ eleven goals across that recent run.<\/p>\n

That has him in at the #2 spot for assists leader this season, right behind only Connor McDavid, and it\u2019s a spot he\u2019s all too familiar with as well after finishing top five in the league in total assists last year also.<\/p>\n

Colorado\u2019s Offensive Power Play Remains Dominant This Year<\/h3>\n

The Colorado Avalanche are tied for 3rd in the league on number of power-play goals scored this season showing they’re definitely getting it done on the offensive end when given an advantage.<\/p>\n

Even more impressive than that has been the fact Colorado ranks only average in the league when it comes to number of power plays accumulated this season, but is more than made up for by Colorado’s finishing quality, with a 30.34% power play conversion percentage, the highest percentage out of any team in the league this year.<\/p>\n

Colorado Avalanche vs New York Rangers Prediction<\/h2>\n

This is almost must-win territory for the Stanley Cup champions here on Friday as they got embarrassed on home ice by Boston on Wednesday.<\/p>\n

That was Colorado\u2019s third straight loss for the first time this season and the first time they’ve been shutout at home also, so you\u2019d have to imagine we see a best effort from Colorado on Friday.<\/p>\n

Thankfully for the Avalanche, they\u2019ve owned recent series history against the Rangers, especially in this venue, winning all of their four previous encounters here and defensively are the better team as well, ranking top ten in the league on defensive xGA this season while the Rangers rank all the way down in 26th.<\/p>\n
