Boston Bruins vs Tampa Bay Lightning Betting Analysis<\/h3>\n

After a brief hiccup against the Florida Panthers last Wednesday, the Boston Bruins have done what they\u2019ve done all season and bounced immediately back with a win, coming out on top in OT against a determined Carolina Hurricanes side last Friday.<\/p>\n

The Hurricanes took a two-goal lead early in the first period of that game before Boston responded to eventually tie it up in the third, with David Pastrnak finally getting the game-winning goal from a power play in OT.<\/p>\n

Tampa Bay for their part have been hot themselves of late, reeling off six wins from their last seven games overall, but that one loss did come against this same Boston Bruins team last week via a 5-3 road victory for the Bruins.<\/p>\n

Apart from last week\u2019s game, the two sides faced each other four times last season, with Boston winning three of the four meetings.<\/p>\n

Lightning Look To Light It Up In Boston<\/h3>\n

While their recent series history against the Bruins hasn\u2019t been overly spectacular, going on the road in this series has proved very beneficial for Tampa Bay as the Lightning have won seven of the last eight meetings in Boston.<\/p>\n

That\u2019s largely due to a terrific record against their divisional rivals in general, with the Lightning winning 77 of their last 104 matchups against Atlantic opponents outright.<\/p>\n

Boston Numbers Eye Regression<\/h3>\n

Boston are enjoying one of their best starts to a season ever, but their underlying data doesn\u2019t quite match up to how well they\u2019re playing right now.<\/p>\n

Boston ranks #1 in the league this year in overall offensive scoring and #2 in defensive scoring also, yet their offensive xG rating this year has them sitting in the 14th spot in the league overall, while their defensive numbers have them in double-digits as well.<\/p>\n

Despite our overall concerns on Boston starting to regress at some point in the season, we\u2019re not about to start fading them just yet as until we start to see a decline in this team\u2019s performances, they have to be given serious consideration any time they take to the ice with the way they’re playing right now.<\/p>\n

Boston just doesn\u2019t know how to lose and not only owns an 11.55% shot conversion percentage this season (4th best in the league), they also face a team in Tampa Bay on Tuesday night who rank bottom half in the league overall on opponent high-danger conversion percentage this season. Take the Boston Bruins to win outright at home on Tuesday against the Tampa Bay Lightning.<\/p>\n
