Belgium vs Canada Betting Analysis<\/h3>\n

Getting a pre-tournament read on Canada is so difficult because the only thing we really have to go off is their CONCACAF form. Aside from some international friendlies to get ready for the World Cup, the Canadians simply haven’t had meaningful competitive matches outside of North America since…a long time ago.<\/p>\n

Belgium vs Canada Prediction: Alphonso Davies is The Best Player in CONCACAF – And Healthy<\/h3>\n

Canada was dominant in qualifying, topping CONCACAF over Mexico and the United States. Their squad includes a slew of MLS players, but they also have plenty of guys currently on European rosters, mostly in Turkey, Portugal and Belgium. Canada’s biggest stars are Alphonso Davies from Bayern Munich and Jonathan David from Lille.  They also have a fairly potent goal-scoring squad. <\/p>\n

Canada will bring a “no one expected us to be here” energy to Group F, but their enthusiasm was diminished just a tad before the competition as projected starting goalkeeper, Maxime Crepeau, broke his leg in the final minutes of the MLS Cup a couple weeks ago.<\/p>\n

Feeling Devilish<\/h3>\n

Belgium finally lost their spot as the No. 1 team in FIFA\u2019s rankings after losing to Netherlands twice in the latest edition of the Nations League. Still there is no denying the Red Devils’ talent, led by the big-man up front, Romelu Lukaku, as well as perhaps the best midfielder on the planet in Kevin de Bruyne<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Belgium vs Canada Prediction:  No Lukaku , But Goals Should Still Flow<\/h3>\n

Lukaku will not dress for the opener against Canada, but Belgium still has plenty of firepower to choose from with the Hazard brothers (Eden and Thorgan), Axel Witsel, Yannick Carrasco, Youri Tielemans and Thomas Meunier. Real Madrid\u2019s Thibaut Courtois is considered one of the best goalkeepers in the world.<\/p>\n

Beating the United States and Mexico is nice, but the Canadians are taking a giant step up in class for this one. Belgium tends to underperform on the biggest stage, but I expect them to at least get their results here in the group stage before most likely crapping out in the knockout rounds.<\/p>\n

Let’s be honest, neither the USMNT nor Mexico looked great in their opening matches, which speaks to the style of play in CONCACAF. The Belgians are battle-tested in Europe and should have no problem winning this game.<\/p>\n
