Philadelphia 76ers vs Brooklyn Nets Analysis<\/h3>\n

The Brooklyn Nets invade the Wells Fargo Center for an Eastern Conference showdown with the Philadelphia 76ers. On Saturday, the 76ers fell short in a 112-109 home loss against the Minnesota Timberwolves.<\/p>\n

The Nets won their second straight game on Monday in a 127-115 home victory over the Memphis Grizzlies.<\/p>\n

This will be the first of four games in a season series that Brooklyn won 3-1 in the 2021-22 campaign. Tip-off is scheduled for 7:30 PM EST\/4:30 PST as this will be the first game of a TNT Tuesday night doubleheader.<\/p>\n

Next Man Up For 76ers<\/h3>\n

The short-handed Philadelphia 76ers currently sit at .500 after losing to the Minnesota Timberwolves on Saturday. Joel Embiid led all scorers with 32 points while collecting 9 rebounds, but he is now listed as out with a foot injury.<\/p>\n

Philadelphia was already playing without stars James Harden, Tyrese Maxey and Tobias Harris. Maxey & Harden join Embiid as out for this contest while Harris and Frank Korkmas are listed as questionable.<\/p>\n

Shake Milton stepped up last game and scored 27 points on 10 of 15 from the field. The 76ers were already having trouble scoring as they rank 28th with only 108.6 points a game on 47% from the floor.<\/p>\n

Their defense has kept them in games as they allow only 106.6 points a game, ranking them 3rd in the league. They have kept opponents honest at the rim and perimeter with a 46.2% against from the field and 31.7% from beyond the arc. Rebounding has been their downfall as they rank 29th with only 39.1 rebounds a game.<\/p>\n

Nets Hope To Get Back To .500<\/h3>\n

The Brooklyn Nets improved to 8-9 on the season with a commanding victory over the Memphis Grizzlies on Sunday. After going 6-4 in their last 10 games they sit at 9th place in the Eastern Conference. Kevin Durant led the way with 26 points to go along with 7 rebounds and 7 assists.<\/p>\n

Ben Simmons chipped in with 22 points on an insanely accurate 11 for 13 from the field while also recording 8 rebounds and 5 assists. Brooklyn ranks 16th in scoring with 113.6 points a game on 48.5% from the field.<\/p>\n

They allow 111.6 points a game on 44.6% shooting, good for 12th in the NBA. The Nets have contested shots at the rim but struggling to defend the perimeter as opponents have 38.1% long distance shooting percentage against them.<\/p>\n

This will be Kyrie Irving’s 2nd game back from suspension after scoring 14 points in 26 minutes last time out. Nic Claxton is listed as questionable with personal issues while TJ Warren remains out with a foot injury.<\/p>\n

Philadelphia 76ers vs Brooklyn Nets Prop Prediction<\/h2>\n

The Brooklyn Nets enter this game as 7.5 point road favorites 217. The 76ers will be playing with a skeleton crew with Embiid, Harden & Maxey ruled out and Tobias Harris being questionable.<\/p>\n

The story of the game quickly becomes Ben Simmons taking the court in the “City of Brotherly Love” for the first time as a Brooklyn Net. Simmons has let emotions get the better of him in the past but he knows exactly what he is walking into in Philly.<\/p>\n

He and his teammates also know the paint will be wide open without Embiid and that’s where Simmons does his damage. I’m also fully expecting his teammates to give him a few extra looks, which could be the difference with such a low total.<\/p>\n

I also see some extra rebounding opportunities in this one so I’m combining points with rebounds and taking the over 19.5 at +100 odds.<\/p>\n
