Phoenix Suns vs Los Angeles Lakers Analysis<\/h3>\n

The Los Angeles Lakers visit the Footprint Center for a Western Conference clash with the Phoenix Suns on Tuesday night. The Suns made quick work of the New York Knicks on Sunday night in a 116-95 home victory.<\/p>\n

The Lakers were also in action on Sunday as they crushed the San Antonio Spurs 123-92. This will be the first of four games in a season series the Suns swept 4-0 in the 2021-22 campaign. Tip-off is scheduled for 10:00 PM EST\/7:00 PST as the second game of the TNT Tuesday night doubleheader.<\/p>\n

Suns Set On Continued Dominance Over Lakers<\/h3>\n

The Phoenix Suns handled the New York Knicks with relative ease in a 116-95 victory Sunday afternoon. All five Phoenix starters scored in double figures, including Cameron Payne with team high 21 points to go along with 9 dimes and 8 boards.<\/p>\n

Devin Booker added 20 points while De’Andre Ayton chipped in with a 13 point 11 rebound double-double. Head coach Monty Williams was thrilled with his teams effort, energy and discipline. Phoenix outscored New York 61-42 in the 2nd half while owning the glass with a tremendous 60-39 advantage.<\/p>\n

Chris Paul missed his 6th straight game with a heel injury. Landry Shamet missed the game due to a concussion and both he and Paul are doubtful for Tuesday nights showdown with the Lakers.<\/p>\n

Defense is the Suns calling card as they rank 5th while allowing just under 108 points a game. On offense they rank 9th in scoring with 115 per game.<\/p>\n

Lakers Hammer Spurs<\/h3>\n

The Los Angeles Lakers won their third straight game in dominant fashion with a 123-92 victory over the San Antonio Spurs. It was the first time they won three straight games in nearly a full calendar year.<\/p>\n

Anthony Davis took control of the game with a 30 point 18 rebound double-double. Austin Reeves chipped in with 21 points while Russell Westbrook added a 10 point 10 assist double-double before exiting the game with a thumb strain.<\/p>\n

Lebron James missed his 4th straight game with an abductor strain. Head coach Darvin Ham admitted to playing it safe with James and he will more than likely miss this contest.<\/p>\n

AD has taken over with 30+ points in three straight games. Los Angeles ranks below average on both sides of the ball as they rank 19th with 111 points scored and 20th with 114.2 points allowed per game.<\/p>\n

Phoenix Suns vs Los Angeles Lakers Prop Prediction<\/h2>\n

The Phoenix Suns are 10 point home favorites with a total of 226. Both sides will be missing key players with players like Lebron James and Chris Paul on the shelf. When watching some of these games without Chris Paul I’ve noticed how hard De’Andre Ayton has to work to score.<\/p>\n

Paul is one of the games greatest setup man and runs a beautiful pick & roll with Ayton. Without CP3, it seems like Booker, Bridges and Payne are more than happy to shoot on the perimeter and utilize Ayton as a distraction. His point total is set at 15.5 for this contest.<\/p>\n

Sure he has danced around this total in all six games without Paul but only cleared this number 2 of 6 games with 16 & 17 points. Anthony Davis has been lights out recently and knows how to draw fouls. Foul trouble has been an Achilles heel for Ayton in the past and the Lakers could also go small, thus limiting Aytons minutes.<\/p>\n

Another factor here with a 10 point spread is a blowout where Ayton sits the entire 4th quarter, a situation prop bettors have become all too familiar with. Let’s go under on Ayton points tonight.<\/p>\n
