Philadelphia 76ers vs Milwaukee Bucks Analysis<\/h3>\n

The Milwaukee Bucks head into the City of Brotherly Love for an Eastern Conference clash with the Philadelphia 76ers on Friday evening.<\/p>\n

The 76ers evened up their record at 7-7 with a 105-98 home victory over the Utah Jazz. The Bucks improved to 11-3 on the season after beating the Cleveland Cavaliers 113-98 on Wednesday evening.<\/p>\n

This is second of four meetings between these teams as Milwaukee prevailed in Philadelphia 90-88 on opening night. The remaining two head-to-head games will be played in Milwaukee. Opening tip is scheduled for 7:30 PM EST\/4:30 PST from the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia.<\/p>\n

Embiid Explosion<\/h3>\n

Joel Embiid scored a career high 59 points to go along with 11 rebounds, 8 assists and 7 blocks in a dominant performance as the 76ers beat the Utah Jazz 105-98. He made NBA history as he became the first player with 50 points, 10 boards, 5 assists and 5 blocks in a game since blocks became an official stat in 1973-74.<\/p>\n

Embiid scored 26 of Philadelphia’s 27 points in the 4th quarter as he has put the team on his back with the absence of James Harden due to injury. Tyrese Maxey chipped in with 18 points but no other 76er scored into the double digits.<\/p>\n

The 76ers will need everything they can get out of Embiid & Maxey as Harden will miss at least the next month. Embiid also took control of the prior game against the Atlanta Hawks with a 42 point 10 rebound performance.<\/p>\n

Philadelphia has struggled offensively on the season, ranking 29th with only 108.5 points a game. Defense has been the calling card as they allow only 106.5 points a game and ranking 3rd in the NBA.<\/p>\n

Pass The Buck<\/h3>\n

The Milwaukee Bucks have been without the services of Khris Middleton, Pat Connaughton and Joe Ingles so far this season and were still able to start the season 9-0.<\/p>\n

Since then they have dealt with various injuries to Giannis Antetokounmpo, Jrue Holiday, Wes Matthews and Grayson Allen and have lost three of their last five games. On Wednesday night, veteran center Brook Lopez led the way with 29 points while going 7 for 9 from beyond the arc in a 113-98 victory over the Cleveland Cavaliers.<\/p>\n

Lopez is on a tear from three-point land, going 35 for 90 from long distance in the first 14 games of the season. Giannis Antetokounmpo added a 16 point 12 rebound double-double in what ironically was a quiet night for him.<\/p>\n

The MVP candidate is averaging 30 points and 12 rebounds a game on 51% shooting from the field. The Bucks defense has gotten the job done as they rank 2nd in points allowed and 2nd in opponent shooting percentage. Offensively they rank below average in scoring with 111.6 points a game and ranking 17th in the league.<\/p>\n

Philadelphia 76ers vs Milwaukee Bucks Prop Prediction<\/h2>\n

The Philadelphia 76ers are 2 point home favorites over the Milwaukee Bucks with a total of 218.5. These are two of the contenders for the Eastern Conference Finals and both are playing short-handed of late. These are spots that player prop bettors can take advantage of.<\/p>\n

Joel Embiid has thrived in the scoring department without Harden on the court while Tyrese Maxey and Tobias Harris have been the only other scorers of note.<\/p>\n

The Bucks will be determined to limit Embiid tonight and Maxey will be their second priority. Harris could be the player that slips through the cracks in the defense.<\/p>\n
