Portland Trail Blazers vs Brooklyn Nets Analysis<\/h3>\n

The Brooklyn Nets travel to the Moda Center for an interconference battle with the Portland Trailblazers. The Trailblazers eeked out a 117-110 home victory over the San Antonio Spurs on Tuesday.<\/p>\n

The Nets were also in action on Tuesday night and were thoroughly embarrassed 153-121 on the road against the Sacramento Kings.<\/p>\n

This will be the first of two head-to-head meetings as these teams will square off again in less than two weeks in Brooklyn. Tip-off is scheduled for 10:00 PM EST\/7:00 PST<\/p>\n

Nets Hammered By The Kings<\/h3>\n

The Brooklyn Nets are off to a slow start to the 2022-23 campaign as they have dealt with tumultuous off court headlines. They started the season losing five of their first six games before winning five of their next seven but have now suffered back-to-back losses to the Los Angeles Lakers and Sacramento Kings.<\/p>\n

They were completely dismantled by the Kings on Tuesday as they gave up 153 points and lost by 32. Kevin Durant led the team in scoring with 27 points but didn’t receive much support as Edmond Sumner was next in line with only 18 points.<\/p>\n

Recent reports state that point guard Kyrie Irving could return to the as early as this weekend but he won’t be part of this contest. Brooklyn ranks 18th in the league in scoring with 110.8 points a game.<\/p>\n

Current head coach Jacque Vaughns defense held opponents to 94 points a game in his first six games as coach but has now allowed 134.5 points per game in their two latest losses.<\/p>\n

Blazing A Path To 10-4<\/h3>\n

The Portland Trailblazers have been a surprisingly impressive so far this season wa as they sit on top of the Western Conference standings with a 10-4 record.<\/p>\n

The Blazers won the first four games of the season, haven’t lost back-to-back games all year and have won four of their last five entering this contest. They hung on for 117-110 victory in their last game against the San Antonio Spurs.<\/p>\n

Jerami Grant led the way with 29 points while going 6 of 8 from three-point land. Anfernee Simons added 23 points while Dame Lillard posted a 22 point 11 assist double-double.<\/p>\n

Portland boasts an outstanding as they rank 8th with 107.6 points allowed per game. However they have surprisingly struggled to score with consistency as they rank 22nd with 109.9 points a game.<\/p>\n

This game is a virtual pick’em with the Portland Trailblazers favored by 1.5 with a total of 220.5. Most will be looking to stars like Durant and Lillard for player props.<\/p>\n

However I’m looking towards Jerami Grant’s tremendous play recently as he had averaged 26 points a game in November. He has scored 23, 27, 37 & 29 points in his last four games and has eclipsed this total in 6 of his last 7 games.<\/p>\n

The Nets defense seems to be falling apart, giving up 116 to the Lakers and 153 to the Kings. Anthony Davis had a monster game against them and Domantas Sabonis & Harrison Barnes scored at will.<\/p>\n

With Grant’s high shooting percentage and his ability to get to the charity stripe, he should cruise past this low point total of 20.5.<\/p>\n
