Sacramento Kings vs Brooklyn Nets Analysis<\/h3>\n

The Brooklyn Nets continue their west coast road swing with an interconference showdown against the Sacramento Kings at the Golden 1 Center on Tuesday night. The Kings took advantage of a struggling Golden State Warriors team and won 122-115 at home on Saturday night.<\/p>\n

The Nets struggled to keep up in a 116-103 road loss against the Los Angeles Lakers on Sunday night. This is the first of two head-to-head meetings in a regular season series that was split 1-1 last season. Tip-off is scheduled for 10:00 PM EST\/7:00 PST as the second game of Tuesday nights TNT doubleheader.<\/p>\n

Nets Need A Bounce Back After Crumbling Late Versus Lakers<\/h3>\n

The Brooklyn Nets ran out of gas in the 4th quarter against the Lakers and lost second game of a Los Angeles back-to-back 116-103. Head coach Jacque Vaughn explained that his guys “expended a lot of juice in the 110-95 victory over the Clippers on the prior night.<\/p>\n

That marks the 3rd loss in four back-to-back opportunities this season. Kevin Durant scored 31 points on 8 of 16 from the field and 13 of 14 from the charity stripe. Durant could have used some help as next in points was Cam Thomas with 15 and only three others sneaked past double figures.<\/p>\n

Kyrie Irving missed a sixth straight game as he has been suspended indefinitely. Offensively the Nets rank 21st with only 110 points a game.<\/p>\n

When examining their defense we need to look at the Post-Irving\/Nash numbers as they have went from being a bottom feeder to allowing less than 100 points in 5 of 6 games without them.<\/p>\n

Sabonis Double-Double Powers Kings Past Warriors<\/h3>\n

Domantas Sabonis led the Sacramento Kings to a 122-115 victory over the Golden State Warriors with an amazing 26 point 22 rebound double-double to go along with 8 assists.<\/p>\n

Sabonis shot 10 of 17 from the field and is 2nd on the team in points with 17.9 per game while leading the team in rebounds and assists with 11.3 & 6.3 respectively. De’Aaron Fox added 22 points in the victory while Keegan Murray chipped in with 21.<\/p>\n

Sacramento is one of the top shooting teams in the league, ranking 3rd overall with 48.4% and 5th in scoring with 116.8 points per game. However they rank only 19th on free throws with a 76.8% from the charity stripe.<\/p>\n

Defense has been a different story as they rank 24th with 116.7 points allowed per game. The Kings sport a clean injury report entering this contest.<\/p>\n

Sacramento Kings vs Brooklyn Nets Prop Prediction<\/h2>\n

The Sacramento Kings enter this game as 1.5 point home favorites with a total set at 224.5. There are tons of different directions you could look for overs here with players like Kevin Durant, De’Aaron Fox and Domantas Sabonis involved but no so fast on Sabonis.<\/p>\n

Sure he is coming off the that monster double-double with 26 points and 22 rebounds. His point total is set at 18.5, a total he has cleared in six straight games. But that total not moving up seems like a bit of a red flag.<\/p>\n

We mentioned how the Nets defense improving overnight without Irving & Nash. They did allow the Lakers to break 100 last game but that was the first time in six games.<\/p>\n

Another factor was Nic Claxton leaving the game with injury, in turn leaving Brooklyn short-handed down low. It looks like Claxton will return tonight and if that’s case I’m going under on Sabonis points to buck this trend.<\/p>\n
