Atlanta Hawks vs Philadelphia 76ers\u00a0Analysis<\/h3>\n

The Philadelphia 76ers travel to the ATL for an Eastern Conference clash with the Atlanta Hawks on Thursday night. The 76ers pulled out a 100-88 home victory over the Phoenix Suns on Monday night. The Hawks will be looking to bounce back after losing 125-119 at home last night against the Utah Jazz.<\/p>\n

This will be the first of four games in a head-to-head season series that Philadelphia won 2-1 last season over Atlanta. Tip-off is slated for 7:30 PM EST\/4:30 PST on NBATV.<\/p>\n

Hawks Played By Jazz\u00a0<\/h3>\n

The Atlanta Hawks record dipped to 7-4 after losing at home against the Utah Jazz last night. Dejounte Murray paced the Hawks with 26 points while Trae Young and De’Andre Hunter each added 22 points.<\/p>\n

Clint Capela had an impressive double-double with 19 rebounds and 15 points. The Hawks have feasted on some of the leagues bottom feeders with wins against Orlando, Houston & Detroit.<\/p>\n

However they finally got a quality win on Monday as they handed the Milwaukee Bucks their first loss of the season without the services of Trae Young. The Atlanta defense ranks well below average at 20th with 114.6 points allowed per game.<\/p>\n

Their calling card has been their offense as they rank 7th with 116.7 points per game. All-Star guard Trae Young leads the team in scoring with 28.2 points a game and assists at 9.4 assists a game. Newly acquired Dejounte Murray scores 22.3 points a game while adding 2.5 steals per game.<\/p>\n

76ers Adjust To Life Without Harden<\/h3>\n

The Philadelphia 76ers have had an inconsistent start to their season mostly due to injuries as Joel Embiid dealt with feet and conditioning issues. Now James Harden is out for the next month without a foot injury.<\/p>\n

They lost the first of two games without Harden to New York Knicks as Embiid was also out for the game. That wasn’t the case on Monday night as Joel Embiid put up an impressive 33 point 10 rebound double-double in a 100-88 victory over the Phoenix Suns. The 76ers improved to 5-6 on the 2022-23 campaign. Tobias Harris added 21 points as did Georges<\/p>\n

Niang while coming off the bench. However, the Philly offense has sputtered with only 108.9 points per game, ranking 24th in the NBA. Defense has been their strength as they rank 6th with only 107.3 points allowed per game.<\/p>\n

Atlanta Hawks vs Philadelphia 76ers – The Ultimate Betting Pick<\/h2>\n

The Atlanta Hawks are slightly favored with a spread of 1.5 and a total of 222.5. Both sides have been inconsistent defensively especially the Hawks.<\/p>\n

The Hawks favor a fast pace of play and will most likely dictate the tempo. Philadelphia has tried to slow things down at points but they are likely to play faster without Harden on the court. The 76ers offense has stepped up without Harden as Tobias Harris and Tyrese Maxey have picked up the slack.<\/p>\n

Just recently, the Hawks gave up 139 points to the Raptors and 123 to the Bucks. Embiid is rested and will be playing against an undersized Capela. His point total is 28.5 but lessened minutes for whatever reason could derail that.<\/p>\n

The Philly offense averages 109 points a game and their team total is 110.5. Based on the projected pace and Hawks defensive struggles against quality teams, it should be enough to push the 76ers up and over their team total.<\/p>\n
