Boston Bruins vs Calgary Flames Betting Analysis<\/h3>\n

It\u2019s been six straight losses now for the Calgary Flames heading into tonight\u2019s matchup against the Boston Bruins as they\u2019ve continually come up short on the wrong side of a close result.<\/p>\n

Only one of those six losses came by more than one goal and the Flames massively outshot their opponents in four of those five one-goal losses as well. However, it nevertheless hasn\u2019t helped them to register wins where it counts on the scoreboard.<\/p>\n

The Bruins meanwhile bounced straight back with a win against the St. Louis Blues on Monday night after dropping their first game since October 18th against Toronto on Saturday. That win cemented Boston at the top of the standings in the Eastern Conference this year in what has been a red-hot start for the Bruins overall this season.<\/p>\n

The two teams faced each other twice last season with both teams losing at home but getting a win on the road.<\/p>\n

Calgary Struggling To Hit The Mark Offensively<\/h3>\n

If total shots marked the very best teams in the NHL, Calgary would be among the best as they\u2019ve averaged a mammoth 36.92 SPG to start the season.<\/p>\n

However, converting those same chances has presented a difficult challenge to the Flames this year, connecting on just 8.35% of all their shots this year, the 7th lowest mark in the league.<\/p>\n

Fortress Mindset In Boston<\/h3>\n

The TD Garden has been extremely productive for the Boston Bruins this season, and extremely profitable for backers of them also, as the Bruins remain the only team yet to drop a single point at home all year.<\/p>\n

Another win here on Thursday would see Boston equal their best-ever start to a league campaign at home in almost 40 years, and in the form they\u2019re in right now, it\u2019s likely that’s a serious consideration also.<\/p>\n

Boston Bruins vs Calgary Flames Prediction<\/h2>\n

We\u2019re going to take a shot with the Calgary Flames in this one later tonight against the Bruins in Boston.<\/p>\n

The Flames have been excellent this season defensively, at least statistically, owning the league\u2019s 4th best overall defensive xGA this year along with ranking top ten on total scoring chances allowed to opponents also.<\/p>\n

The Bruins are certainly no easy fade at home this year but they\u2019re out-performing the data at a huge rate and the price is simply too high on them here.<\/p>\n

The road team has won each of the last four meetings between these two sides and we like that to continue here tonight, so take the Calgary Flames +145 as your play for Thursday.<\/p>\n
