Tottenham vs Liverpool Betting Analysis<\/h3>\n

One of Europe’s highlight games of the weekend pits Jurgen Klopp\u2019s struggling Liverpool side against a Tottenham side who, despite suffering some setbacks of their own, have remained reasonably strong this year at home.<\/p>\n

Liverpool had an excellent 2-0 win against Napoli in the Champions League in midweek, but their Premier League form has left a lot to be desired with back-to-back losses now against two teams likely fighting for relegation by the end of the season in Nottingham Forest and Leeds.<\/p>\n

Tottenham, meanwhile ,secured an extremely fortunate win over Marseille in midweek themselves, with a late 95th-minute winner from Pierre Hojbjerg to finish top of the group.<\/p>\n

However, their domestic form (like Liverpool\u2019s) has been poor of late with two defeats from their last three starts, with their only win across that run coming via a last-gasp winner last weekend against Bournemouth in a performance that wouldn’t inspire a lot of confidence about hosting a much more formidable Liverpool side at home this Sunday.<\/p>\n

Tottenham has not beaten Liverpool in any capacity in over five years so it\u2019ll be a tall ask for the North Londoners to deliver here despite Liverpool\u2019s patchy form of late.<\/p>\n

Jekyll & Hyde Season For Liverpool<\/h3>\n

After blowout wins in Europe and a fantastic back-to-back domestic sweep of both Manchester City and West Ham, it certainly looked as if the Reds had gotten over their early season hump and were finally back in the title race.<\/p>\n

However, two dismal defeats to both Nottingham Forest and Leeds in subsequent matchups have put that to rest as Liverpool finds itself 15 points off the pace for the Premier League title already this year.<\/p>\n

Manchester City sits 13 points ahead of them, and considering Manchester City lost just one game between November to May last season, Liverpool\u2019s title hopes already look dashed this year.<\/p>\n

Tottenham Starting To Falter<\/h3>\n

A packed Champions League schedule on top of an already hectic Premier League schedule has played havoc with Tottenham’s roster this season and the wear-and-tear of being involved in multiple competitions in a World Cup year is starting to show for this Spurs side.<\/p>\n

Since October 19th, Tottenham has won just one game in the Premier League with their offensive xG and defensive xGA numbers tumbling from season-long data as well.<\/p>\n

Tottenham vs Liverpool Prediction<\/h2>\n

Tottenham has been better at home this year but the 5-0 start to the season in North London was against teams far below them in the table. When they finally stepped up in class against Newcastle, they were subsequently found out.<\/p>\n

Liverpool ranks ahead of Tottenham in pretty much every data category this season when factoring in both home\/away form and recent five-game form as well, bar one. Liverpool’s absolutely shocking 2.07 defensive xGA per game over their last five Premier League starts, which is by far the worst showing in the league over that stretch.<\/p>\n
