Buffalo Sabres vs Montreal Canadiens Betting Analysis<\/h3>\n

The Montreal Canadiens will look to get their season back on track on Thursday night coming off back-to-back home defeats. Buffalo similarly returns home after getting blasted by the Seattle Kraken on Tuesday night via a 5-1 margin.<\/p>\n

The Sabres have performed much better at home this year, beating the Ottawa Senators by a three-goal margin in their opening game of the season, along with running a very good Florida Panthers team close in their very next game.<\/p>\n

Buffalo won three of its four regular season meetings with Montreal last year, scoring an average of 4.67 goals per game across those three wins.<\/p>\n

Jake Allen Still Performing Well For The Canadiens<\/h3>\n

Despite an overall losing record on the season so far, Jake Allen\u2019s goalkeeping numbers have still been rock-solid this season.<\/p>\n

The Fredericton native ranks top-20 in the league this season in terms of overall save percentage and GSAA average, but unfortunately serves as the final line of defense on a Montreal team that ranks 26th in the league on overall high-danger scoring chances allowed this season.<\/p>\n

Buffalo\u2019s Lethal Conversion Percentage<\/h3>\n

The Buffalo Sabres have a reason to be optimistic this year after opening up the season with the league\u2019s best overall shots-to-goal conversion percentage, along with having the league\u2019s third-best high-danger conversion percentage as well.<\/p>\n

The Sabres are converting a ridiculously high 14.2-percent of their scoring opportunities this season (Montreal has converted just 8.33-percent of theirs as a comparison) and 15.6-percent of all their high-danger scoring opportunities. Detroit and Calgary are the only two teams boasting better overall high-danger conversion rates than Buffalo this season.<\/p>\n

We can only look towards taking the Buffalo Sabres here on Thursday night in a spot we expect them to roll in against the Montreal Canadiens.<\/p>\n

The Canadiens have a miserable 29.4-percent win rate away from home going all the way back to last season, and have won just one of their last six visits to Buffalo.<\/p>\n
