The Miami Dolphins travel to Paycor Stadium in Cincinnati to face the Bengals and kick off Week 4 on Thursday Night Football. The Bengals have struggled thus far with a 1-2 record after beating the New York Jets 27-12 on Sunday. The Dolphins currently occupy the top spot in the AFC with a 3-0 record after beating the Buffalo Bills 21-19 in Week 3.<\/p>\n
The Undefeated ‘Fins<\/h3>\n
The Miami Dolphins will look to stay perfect after beating the Buffalo Bills 21-19 in a back-and-forth contest on Sunday. The Dolphins won this game despite getting doubled-up in time of possession and first downs. Tua Tagovailoa threw for 186 yards and a touchdown after leaving the game in the third quarter with an injury.<\/p>\n
Miami also beat the New England Patriots 20-7 in a crucial Week 1 game and the Baltimore Ravens 42-38 after erasing a 21-point deficit. Despite their 3-0 record, the Miami defense has really struggled as they rank 31st with 413.7 yards allowed per contest.<\/p>\n
Tua Tagovailoa has been successful with his new weapons, throwing for 925 yards, eight touchdowns and two interceptions. Wide receivers Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle have combined for over 650 receiving yards. Waddle is expected to play tonight even though he’s battling a groin injury to go along with Tagovailoa dealing with a multitude of injuries including his back.<\/p>\n
Bengals Look To Build On First Victory<\/h3>\n
The Cincinnati Bengals had high expectations coming into the season after their Super Bowl run last season. There is a pretty lengthy history of the Super Bowl runner-up struggling in the following season for a multitude of reasons, and that was the case for Cincinnati in the first two weeks.<\/p>\n
The Bengals had several opportunities to win in Week 1 but fell short 23-20 in overtime against the Pittsburgh Steelers and lost 20-17 Week 2 in another close game against the Dallas Cowboys. The Bengals smoked the New York Jets 27-12 on Sunday behind 275 passing yards by Joe Burrow.<\/p>\n
Burrow has thrown for 812 yards to go along with six touchdowns and four interceptions. He has been running for his life being sacked 15 times behind an offensive line in shambles.<\/p>\n
The running game hasn’t been able to get going either and now running back Joe Mixon is dealing with an ankle injury. The Bengals are also dealing with injuries to nose tackle Zac Taylor and wide receiver Tyler Boyd, it’s worth monitoring but all three seem on track to play. The Cincinnati defense ranks No. 9 with 310.7 yards per game allowed.<\/p>\n
Cincinnati Bengals vs Miami Dolphins Prediction<\/h2>\n
The Bengals’ offense finally got going last week, scoring 27 points against the New York Jets. They struggled in three first two weeks against the elite defense of the Dallas Cowboys and Pittsburgh Steelers. The Miami defense is going to be worn out after playing two straight emotional games, last week in close to 100-degree temperatures. The Bengals’ team total is set at 25.5, so they should get their fair share of points.<\/p>\n
Bengals’ kicker Evan McPherson’s extra point total is set at 2.5 (over -110) and he went 3-for-3 last week. Considering the Bengals’ team touchdown prop is set at over 2.5 (-175), the McPherson prop offers great value. He did miss an extra point in Week 1, but went 46-for-48 last season. Obviously there is a chance of a two point conversion attempt but more likely than not three touchdowns gets the job done at an attractive price.<\/p>\n
