Today’s MLB Home Run Prop Bets For September 8<\/h2>\n

Paul Goldschmidt continues his quest for the rare Triple Crown with his 35th home run hit yesterday. WagerTalk content contributor Kyle Kargel provides his daily home run prop picks and predictions for Thursday, September 8 with odds provided by PointsBet<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Home Run Prop Prediction 1: J.T. Realmuto (+600)<\/h2>\n

I normally wouldn\u2019t be one to pick someone to hit a home run off Sandy Alcantara but the brakes have come off for the pitcher with him allowing five home runs combined in his last three starts. He\u2019s allowed a combined 13 earned runs in total during those three starts as well.<\/p>\n

Granted those three games have come against the Dodgers (2) and the Braves, but the Phillies have the potential to get to Alcantara tonight, specifically J.T. Realmuto who is 9-27 all-time against Alcantara with a home run.<\/p>\n

Realmuto hits .294 at home compared to .244 on the road and hit 10 of his 15 home runs over the past two months. Against Miami this season Realmuto has hit .333 in 48 at-bats along with two home runs. For what it\u2019s worth Alcantara\u2019s road ERA sits at 3.30 with seven home runs allowed in 84.2 innings pitched.<\/p>\n

At home that ERA drops to 1.61 allowing six home runs in 106 innings pitched letting us know he\u2019s much more vulnerable to give up a home run on the road. Get Realmuto at +600 to hit a home run but another Phillies hitter to consider is Bryce Harper (+400)<\/strong> who is 10-27 with a home run off Alcantara in his career.<\/p>\n

Home Run Prop Prediction 2: Seiya Suzuki (+1200)<\/span><\/h2>\n

Luis Cessa was dreadful during his only start against the Cubs going 3.1 innings and allowing five earned runs including two home runs. Seiya Suzuki seems to have found the touch he had back in April when he hit .279 with four home runs.<\/p>\n

He\u2019s hitting .316 so far this month with a home run and hits exceptionally well during day games. He\u2019s hitting .281 with seven of his 11 home runs in day games in 121 at-bats. In comparison during night games Suzuki is hitting .250 with four home runs in 224 at-bats.<\/p>\n

The Cubs are playing at home today too in which Suzuki hits .272 with five home runs this season. Take Suzuki at +550 to hit a home run while another Cubs hitter to consider is Franmil Reyes at +320<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
