Arkansas vs Cincinnati Analysis<\/h3>\n

Cincinnati made it all the way to the College Football Playoff last year, eventually falling short at the semi-final stage to Alabama.<\/p>\n

Arkansas, meanwhile, posted an 8-4 regular season record before beating Penn State in the Outback Bowl via a two-touchdown margin.<\/p>\n

The Bearcats have won 17 games against SEC opposition in their history, however, 13 of those games came against either Kentucky or Vanderbilt. This will be the first-ever meeting between these top-20 programs.<\/p>\n

The Cincinnati Freight Train<\/h3>\n

The University of Cincinnati has churned out one of college football\u2019s most successful programs in recent years behind the leadership of head coach Luke Fickell.<\/p>\n

The two-time defending AAC champs hold a red-hot 44-7 record (86%) since the start of 2018, ranking them among the nation’s elite over the last four years.<\/p>\n

On top of that, the only two teams to beat the Cincinnati Bearcats over the last two seasons have been the last two national champions, Georgia and Alabama respectively, so Cincinnati has definitely proved their worth as a major force in college football.<\/p>\n

Strong Ground Game Offers Options For Arkansas<\/h3>\n

While the Razorbacks can rely on the talents of returning QB KJ Jefferson this season, a player who threw for 2,676 yards last season along with 21 touchdowns also, it\u2019s in their ground game where Arkansas truly shine.<\/p>\n

The Razorbacks had the best rushing attack out of any Power Five program last year, averaging 227.8 yards per game on the ground and put up 353 rushing yards in their final game of the season against Penn State as well.<\/p>\n

Arkansas vs Cincinnati Prediction<\/h2>\n

We\u2019re taking the Arkansas team total under 30.5 points<\/strong> in this one against Cincinnati on Saturday.<\/p>\n

After a red-hot start to last year where the Razorbacks hung huge offensive numbers against Rice, Texas, and Georgia Southern respectively to open up the season, their ground game started to come more into play over the back half of the season, with Arkansas averaging just 26 points per game over their final nine matchups against FBS opposition.<\/p>\n

Cincinnati\u2019s Black Cat defense is arguably under-appreciated as well, limiting opponents to just 17.9 points per game on average over the last four years combined, with only Georgia, Clemson and Iowa putting up better overall defensive numbers.<\/p>\n

We expect Cincinnati to be extremely competitive in this one and to limit the Razorbacks offensively on Saturday, so take the Arkansas team total under 30.5 points as your play in Week 1 between the Bearcats and Razorbacks.
