Milwaukee is 1.5 games behind the Padres for the last wild card berth, and the Dodgers have the best record in the National league.<\/p>\n
Houser Back From Injury<\/h3>\n
Adrian Houser hasn’t had a great year for the Brewers. In 15 starts, he has a 5-8 record with a 4.72 ERA and a 1.48 WHIP. The right-hander has allowed 31 walks and eight home runs in 76.1 innings and he faces a Dodgers team with the best OPS versus right-handed pitching.<\/p>\n
It seems he likes pitching in odd years, as 2019 and 2021 were solid seasons for Houser with sub-4.00 ERAs. However, 2020 and 2022 haven’t been as good with 5.30 and high 4 ERAs. 2019 was his best strikeout year with 117 Ks in 111.1 innings, but otherwise he hasn’t overpowered hitters. This will be Houser’s first game back from the IL with an elbow injury, and he’ll probably be on a pitch count.<\/p>\n
