Today’s MLB Home Run Prop Bets For August 23<\/h2>\n

Home Run Prop Prediction 1: Yordan Alvarez (+220)<\/h2>\n

Aaron Sanchez is making his first start in over three weeks and he\u2019s been poor this season to say the least. He goes up against Yordan Alvarez and the Houston Astros tonight who are eager for this matchup.<\/p>\n

Alvarez hasn\u2019t been himself since coming back from an injury he sustained on July 10th. He\u2019s only hit five home runs since he came back on July 21st and has hit only .230 in August. Alvarez has hit .357 against the Twins this season with two home runs in 14 at-bats.<\/p>\n

In Sanchez\u2019s only start with the Twins so far, he pitched five innings allowing two earned runs against the lowly Tigers. Obviously this Astros offense is miles better than Detroit\u2019s and Sanchez\u2019s road ERA stands at 7.50. He\u2019s allowed four home runs in 18 road innings pitched.<\/p>\n

Alvarez is listed at +220 while other Astros hitters to consider are Alex Bregman (+450)<\/strong> who has a home run off Sanchez in his career and Jose Altuve (TBD)<\/strong> who is 4-9 against Sanchez but is considered day-to-day at the moment.<\/p>\n

Home Run Prop Prediction 2: Francisco Lindor (+390)<\/h2>\n

Francisco Lindor is currently riding a 8-game hitting streak and already has four home runs and 14 RBIs this month. Being a switch hitter it\u2019s important to see which side of the plate Lindor is more successful on which will be the left side tonight going against a righty in Frankie Montas.<\/p>\n

Twelve of Lindor\u2019s 21 home runs have come on the road and he hits .287 vs right handed pitching opposed to hitting .239 against left handed pitching. He\u2019s hitting .364 against the Yankees so far this season and the Mets will be looking to bounce back after losing last night.<\/p>\n

Lindor also has home runs off multiple Yankees relievers and you can get him at +390. Other Mets hitters you could consider include Pete Alonso (+250)<\/strong> and Daniel Vogelbach (+450)<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
