Toulouse vs Lorient Analysis<\/h3>\n

It\u2019s been a two-week hiatus for Lorient coming into this game as their match against Lyon last week was canceled after the pitch they were due to play on was deemed unfit with the game postponed until a later date.<\/p>\n

Toulouse, meanwhile, enjoyed a hot start to their French Ligue One campaign, drawing against a strong Nice side in their opening game and absolutely destroying Troyes last week by a 3-0 margin.<\/p>\n

Lorient Over-Performing To Start The Season<\/h3>\n

The books weren\u2019t expecting much from Lorient to start the year, especially considering they avoided relegation by just four points last season and were going in as +1.5 underdogs against Rennes in their opening game. Both of those factors suggested a tough year ahead for Lorient.<\/p>\n

However, Lorient has found some much-needed steel under new manager Regis Le Bris, grinding out a fantastic 1-0 victory on the road in Rennes in Match Day 1 and giving up just 1.40 xGA on defense in that game also, no mean feat considering Rennes was the No. 1 offensive home team in the league last year.<\/p>\n

Toulouse Aiming To Stay In The Top Flight<\/h3>\n

Newly-promoted Toulouse got their French Ligue One campaign off to a flying start with four points banked from just their opening two games and they\u2019ll look to continue that red-hot start here at home on Sunday against Lorient.<\/p>\n

Toulouse only went in as very marginal favorites against Troyes last week but showed their quality with a 3-0 demolition of the hosts in that game, owning an impressive 2.08 xG to 0.93 xG advantage against them in the process.<\/p>\n

Toulouse vs Lorient Prediction<\/h2>\n

We\u2019re taking Toulouse on the money line<\/strong> here on Sunday to win outright at home as we believe they should have enough to overcome Lorient in this one.<\/p>\n

Lorient looked great in their opening match against Rennes two weeks ago, but that was still two weeks ago now and that momentum has likely subsided while Toulouse\u2019s has only gotten stronger after their 3-0 dismantling of Troyes last week.<\/p>\n

The other factor of course is that while Lorient weas impressive in that game against Rennes, one swallow simply doesn\u2019t make a summer, and Lorient won just two of their 19 games away from home last season and banked just 12 total points, the league’s worst overall road haul.<\/p>\n
