The #19th ranked Aztecs and their guests Boise State are forecast to have sunny skies with temps in the low 80s for the start of The Mountain West Conference&#8217;s Game of the Year.<\/p>\n<p>The all-time series between the two programs is tied, 3-3. The last time these two met for an official game was on October 6, 2018; the Aztecs defeated the Broncos, 19-16, on the blue Smurf-Turf in Boise. This past weekend, host San Diego State defeated UNLV in Las Vegas, winning a 28-20 final. Boise State defeated New Mexico on the Blue Turf, which wasn&#8217;t close, as the Broncos rolled to a 37-0 victory.<\/p>\n<p>My title of the biggest, most crucial league contest of the year is accurate but created more by opinion and subjective variables than is reality. However, as many big games in league play close out the 2021 regular season, the cozy venue formerly known as StubHub is without doubt ground zero for who is what in the Mountain West.<\/p>\n<p>Friday morning&#8217;s matchup between these two league&#8217; mates is the only contest where both teams can play and win for a spot in the Moutain West championship. San Diego State&#8217;s yellow brick road has miles of visibility, and the forecast reads; Aztecs win, and they&#8217;re in. The path to a championship sideline for Boise State requires a straight-up victory for the Aztecs and help from the UNLV Rebels.<\/p>\n<p>The University of Nevada Las Vegas&#8217; responsibility in SDSUs quest makes it necessary that the Rebs go on the road and play the big-dog and upset the Air Force Falcons. The big-dog part of UNLVs task is overcoming the 18-point handicap that the Falcons are favored by.<\/p>\n<p>The focus for investors in this MWC contest shouldn&#8217;t be on the whim and prayer of the Runnin Rebels but accessing the who and why of this early Friday morning contest in San Diego under perfect skies and with an even better temperature.<\/p>\n<p>There isn&#8217;t a team with more confidence, top-end skillset, and raw potential than the Broncos.
