Today’s MLB Home Run Prop Bets For August 16<\/h2>\n

Home Run Prop Prediction 1: Ian Happ (+500)<\/h2>\n

Tonight the Cubs get the Nationals sending Patrick Corbin to the mound who has been dreadful pretty much all season. Sitting at 4-16 with a ballooning 7.02 ERA, Corbin is one of the league leaders in home runs allowed with 21 so far through 110.1 innings pitched.<\/p>\n

He\u2019s allowed 12 of those home runs at Nationals Park and Ian Happ is chomping at the bit to get back out on the field as he had two home runs unexpectedly last night. Let\u2019s take advantage of Happ\u2019s hot bat as of late as well as his notable splits against Corbin who is is 3-8 against with a home run in his career.<\/p>\n

Against Washington this year Happ is batting .375 and he\u2019s hitting .333 against lefties in general this season. He only posts a .244 average on the road but eight of his 12 home runs have come away from Wrigley Field.<\/p>\n

Get Happ at a valuable +500 to hit a home run tonight, but other Cubs players to consider are Franmil Reyes (TBD)<\/strong> if he starts who is 3-6 with a home run against Corbin as well as Wilson Contreras (+270)<\/strong> who has three home runs already this month.<\/p>\n

Home Run Prop Prediction 2: Nolan Arenado (+310)<\/h2>\n

The Cardinals get the Rockies for their second series against one another in the last week. This time they\u2019ll meet at Busch Stadium at see Kyle Freeland once again who was dreadful in his last start against these Cardinals pitching 4.1 innings and allowing six earned runs.<\/p>\n

To Freeland\u2019s credit he didn\u2019t allow a home run but current Cardinals hitters collectively hit .390 off the Rockies left-hander. Nolan Arenado already has six home runs in August including a 3-game home run streak recently snapped.<\/p>\n

He has nine home runs in 77 at-bats against lefties coming out to one home run every 8.5 at-bats. Arenado also hits .299 at home and posts a .357 average against the Rockies so far this season. He\u2019s 3-5 in his career against Freeland and you can get him at +310 right now.<\/p>\n

Other Cardinals hitters to consider in this juicy matchup include Paul Goldschmidt (+350)<\/strong> and Albert Pujols (+450)<\/strong> who\u2019s hitting .500 with three home runs in the past week.<\/p>\n
