Liverpool vs Crystal Palace Analysis<\/h3>\n

Huge game on Monday night over in the EPL as Liverpool looks to rebound from its Match Day 1 letdown stalemate against Fulham with a home victory over Crystal Palace.<\/p>\n

Liverpool was forced to come from behind twice to rescue a point against newly-promoted Fulham last week and it\u2019s likely manager Jurgen Klopp will want an immediate response from his players in this one, especially considering title rivals Manchester City are already off the mark with two wins to open the season.<\/p>\n

Crystal Palace has been handed a tough opening schedule to start the season, facing both Arsenal and Liverpool in back-to-back weeks and then having to head to Manchester City in just over a week’s time. Manager Patrick Viera will have little time for sympathy in this one as he looks to bounce back off an opening day loss against the Gunners.<\/p>\n

Liverpool has absolutely owned Crystal Palace at Anfield in recent seasons, winning five straight in league action by a combined 16-3 scoreline and shutting out Palace in four of those five matchups also.<\/p>\n

However, an interesting side note is that Palace won three straight in this venue prior to that between 2015-2017, and Patrick Viera will no doubt hope his side can generate that same magic here on Monday.<\/p>\n

Crystal Palace Just Can\u2019t Keep Liverpool Out<\/h3>\n

Palace\u2019s best chance in this game may well be going toe-to-toe with Liverpool, just as they did in their 4-3 thriller back in 2019.<\/p>\n

That\u2019s because Crystal Palace has found it incredibly difficult to keep Liverpool scoreless over recent seasons, conceding at least two goals in nine-straight head-to-heads against them.<\/p>\n

Liverpool Eager To Return To Anfield<\/h3>\n

Despite the struggles of last week, Liverpool will relish the chance to return to \u2018Fortress Anfield,’ a venue where they\u2019ve enjoyed some spectacular success over recent seasons.<\/p>\n

In fact, despite getting nipped to the title by Manchester City last season, Liverpool had the league\u2019s best overall home record, failing to lose a single game at Anfield over the entirety of last season and conceding only nine goals total (just 0.47 gpg) in what was a phenomenal defensive display at home.<\/p>\n

Liverpool vs Crystal Palace Prediction<\/h2>\n

We have to side with Liverpool -1.75<\/strong> in this one to win and cover at home against Crystal Palace on Monday night.<\/p>\n

Liverpool won by a clear two-goal margin in 13 of their 15 home league wins last season, and that\u2019s something not likely to change here on Monday either, especially against a team in Crystal Palace who\u2019ve already shown how much they\u2019ve struggled to keep Liverpool quiet over seasons past.<\/p>\n

On top of that, Darwin Nunez is making his home Premier League debut on Monday night, Liverpool is in bounce-back mode, and they’ve also been traditionally strong in this situation of a home opener over seasons past as well, winning nine straight Premier League home opening games of the season.<\/p>\n
