Lecce vs Inter Analysis<\/h3>\n

This season\u2019s Serie A title favorites Inter Milan look to reclaim the crown they lost last year with an opening day victory over newly-promoted Lecce on Saturday in the Stadio Via del Mare.<\/p>\n

Lecce finished top of Serie B last season with 71 points from 38 games. However, at home they were even stronger, amassing 44 points from just 19 games and lost just once at home all year.<\/p>\n

Lecce have a strong record at home against Inter over recent matchups also, going unbeaten against the Nerazzurri across each of their last three head-to-heads at the Stadio Via del Mare, with the last coming in January 2020.<\/p>\n

Inzaghi Hoping For A Hot Start From Lukaku<\/h3>\n

Romelu Lukaku has returned to his former club Inter after an uneventful second spell in England.<\/p>\n

That will be a huge boost to Simone Inzaghi\u2019s squad here as they add a striker who scored 30 goals across his last 44 games for the club prior to his departure.<\/p>\n

Lukaku also scored in his debut for the club as well back at the start of the 2019-20 season, an opening day 4-0 victory against none other than current foes Lecce, a result Inter will no doubt want repeated ahead of this weekend.<\/p>\n

Lecce Look To Unveil Offensive Talent Of Their Own<\/h3>\n

The Wolves have signed some attacking talent of their own in the off-season, bringing in former FC Zurich frontman Assan Ceesay who netted 22 times for the Swiss side last year.<\/p>\n

That signing wasn\u2019t enough however to stop Lecce get dumped out of the Coppa Italia at the weekend against Cittadella.<\/p>\n

Lecce were heavy favorites to progress in that game and that defeat will no doubt sink morale ahead of this crucial fixture against Inter on Saturday.<\/p>\n

Lecce vs Inter Prediction<\/h3>\n

We\u2019re siding with Inter in this one on the -1.5 handicap line on Saturday.<\/p>\n

Inter scored a phenomenal 84 goals last season and were unbelievably even better on xG, putting up an astronomical 90.38 xG across the season as a whole (by comparison Champions League and LaLiga champions Real Madrid racked up just 80.22 xG last season).<\/p>\n

By adding a striker on top who\u2019s already proved himself at this level in the form of the returning Romelu Lukaku, it\u2019s very difficult to see how Lecce can keep Inter out here, especially considering they come off giving up two goals at the weekend against lowly-minnows Cittadella.<\/p>\n

Take Inter -1.5 to win and cover on the road here on Saturday against Lecce, and look to put a marker on the rest of the season with a statement opening day win this weekend.<\/p>\n
