Today’s MLB Home Run Prop Bets For August 10<\/h2>\n

Home Run Prop Prediction 1: Yordan Alvarez (+285)<\/h2>\n

Rangers starter Glenn Otto hasn\u2019t been spectacular this season to say the least. He\u2019s allowed at least three earned runs in four of his last five starts and has allowed at least one home run in his last four.<\/p>\n

In two starts against Houston this season he\u2019s pitched 10.1 innings allowing four earned runs including a home run. This makes for a juicy matchup for Yordan Alvarez who has gone cold as of late going hitless in his last 10 at-bats.<\/p>\n

Alvarez is 12-36 against Texas so far this season including a home run. Alvarez hits .318 against righties this season and has 22 home runs in 214 at-bats against right handed pitchers as well which comes out to a home run every 10 at-bats or so. Obviously he\u2019s due for a home run as he hasn\u2019t hit one since July 29th.<\/p>\n

Alvarez is listed at +285 to hit a home run out of Minute Maid Park but other Astros hitters to consider in this game include newly acquired Trey Mancini (+480)<\/strong> who has three home runs since arriving in Houston as well as Jose Altuve (+430)<\/strong> who is 11-22 in his last seven days.<\/p>\n

Home Run Prop Prediction 2: Austin Riley (+280)<\/h2>\n

Braves third baseman Austin Riley has emerged as a serious threat to win the NL MVP award and rightfully so as his average sits near .300 while accumulating 30 home runs on the season so far.<\/p>\n

He and the Braves recently agreed to a 10-year $212 Million extension based on his performance so far this season. He and the Braves get Nick Pivetta in Boston tonight who has been vulnerable to giving up the long ball. Riley is 3-9 with two home runs all-time against Pivetta.<\/p>\n

In July and August Pivetta has allowed seven home runs in 29 innings pitched coming out to a home run allowed every four innings pitched. Riley had a big game yesterday in the Braves extra innings win over the Red Sox going 3-6 with a home run and five RBIs.<\/p>\n

Riley is listed at +280 to hit a home run out of Fenway Park tonight but other Braves hitters to consider are Marcell Ozuna (+280)<\/strong> who has three home runs off Pivetta in his career as well as Ronald Acuna Jr. (+280)<\/strong> who is hitting .407 in his last seven games.<\/p>\n
