West Brom vs Watford Analysis<\/h3>\n

Two of the favorites for promotion this season and two teams used to plying their trade in the Premier League clash on Monday night as Watford make the trip up to the West Midlands to take on West Brom in the English Championship.<\/p>\n

West Brom were forced to come from behind to grab a draw in their opening game against Middlesbrough last week, a solid result considering Middlesbrough are a team also fancied to do well this season.<\/p>\n

Watford meanwhile won their opening matchup against Sheffield United last week also, with Brazilian Joao Pedro grabbing the winner, a sight manager Rob Edwards may be forced to rely on more often this season as both Ismaila Sarr and Emmanuel Dennis look very likely to leave the club over the next few weeks.<\/p>\n

Over the last decade, the teams have met three times at the Hawthorns with a record of W1, D1, L1, so another close matchup is expected here on Monday.<\/p>\n

Watford Looking For More Success On The Road<\/h3>\n

With just two wins over their final 14 road games of the season last year, Watford may well be concerned about a trip up to another fellow promotion candidate in West Brom on Monday.<\/p>\n

Four of those nine losses also saw Watford concede at least 4+ goals in those games, and that\u2019s an issue Rob Edwards must address ahead of this season.<\/p>\n

However, Watford\u2019s competition marker was set much higher last season than it is this year, with Manchester City, Wolves and Leicester (2) handing Watford those heavy road defeats, so it\u2019ll be interesting to see what changes, if any, they make ahead of this season.<\/p>\n

Steve Bruce Needs Consistency<\/h3>\n

Steve Bruce was quick to call out his sides contrasting performances in either half of the game against Middlesbrough last week, and urged his side to be more consistent.<\/p>\n

That\u2019s something they\u2019ve usually managed to do at the Hawthorns however, with Steve Bruce losing just two games at home since he took over at the club all the way back in early February.<\/p>\n

With a 67% total goals tally at home in the second half of games last season, that consistency still remains an issue for this team.<\/p>\n

West Brom vs Watford Prediction<\/h2>\n

With a close game expected here at the Hawthorns on Monday night, we\u2019re taking the plus goals on Watford to get a result on the road.<\/p>\n

The Hornets have lost just once against West Brom in seven of their previous head-to-heads, and will be confident of claiming another result here on Monday also with all three of their pacey attackers Sarr, Dennis and Pedro still available.<\/p>\n

West Brom have shown inconsistency of late and Watford have the ability to capitalize in this one.<\/p>\n

Take Watford +0.25 on Monday to get a result on the road against West Brom over in the English Championship.<\/p>\n
