Eintracht Frankfurt vs Bayern Munich Analysis<\/h3>\n

The new German Bundesliga season opens with a mammoth clash on Friday night as perennial heavyweights Bayern Munich travel to last season\u2019s Europa League champions Eintracht Frankfurt to kick-off the defense of their domestic title.<\/p>\n

Bayern Munich won the Bundesliga title at a canter last season, easing up over the final few weeks of the season as the title was officially confirmed with a three-game winless run, yet still won the Bundesliga crown by a full eight points over second-place Borussia Dortmund.<\/p>\n

Eintracht Frankfurt for their part struggled a lot last season domestically, ranking all the way down in 11th in the table and were even worse at home, being placed firmly in the relegation zone if their form in Deutsche Bank Park was the only factor on the season.<\/p>\n

However, their historic success in the Europa League will no doubt have papered over some of those cracks as they look to start the new domestic season off on a much fresher note.<\/p>\n

Eintracht Frankfurt have surprisingly won two of the last three head-to-heads against Bayern Munich and smashed Bayern 5-1 in this very same venue back in 2019 as well, so they will no doubt fancy their chances of another upset in this one.<\/p>\n

Bayern Sluggish Out Of The Gates<\/h3>\n

Despite putting five goals past RB Leipzig last weekend over in the German Super Cup, Bayern Munich have been notoriously slow starters in the league over seasons past, failing to win any of their previous two opening day away games in the Bundesliga.<\/p>\n

Tacked on to this is the fact that they\u2019ll be without five-time top scorer Robert Lewandowski who left for Barcelona in the summer and Bayern will really need to focus here on Friday in order to secure the win.<\/p>\n

Frankfurt Start Openers Brightly<\/h3>\n

Eintracht Frankfurt closed out last season on an extremely rough note, attaching full focus on Europe, as they won just two games total in the Bundesliga over the final three months of the season.<\/p>\n

However, Frankfurt are a team, unlike Bayern, who usually start the season well, going unbeaten across five of their last six Bundesliga season openers in years past.<\/p>\n

Eintracht Frankfurt vs Bayern Munich Prediction<\/h2>\n

Goals are very likely on the cards in this one as Bayern have adapted to life without Robert Lewandowski pretty seamlessly with five different players getting on the scoresheet in Saturday\u2019s win over RB Leipzig in the German Super Cup.<\/p>\n

Eintracht Frankfurt similarly have been no slouches in front of goal either, ranking as the Europa League\u2019s second highest scorers last season and owned the Bundesliga\u2019s 4th best offensive shots per game rating at home last year also.<\/p>\n

We\u2019re expecting more of the same in this one, so take the Over 3.5 goals on Friday between Bayern Munich and Eintracht Frankfurt over in the German Bundesliga.<\/p>\n
