Birmingham vs Huddersfield Analysis<\/h3>\n

Last season\u2019s playoff finalists Huddersfield came off a disappointing 1-0 loss at home to Burnley last week in their season opener and will look to rebound quickly on the road at Birmingham here on Friday.<\/p>\n

Birmingham for their part struggled mightily last season, going winless across each of their last six games to finish all the way down in 20th in the table. However, they did open up the new season with a solid 0-0 draw against Luton on the road last week.<\/p>\n

The two teams have had seven outright draws across their last eleven head-to-heads overall (63.6%) and another one here on Friday could well be on the cards.<\/p>\n

Huddersfield Struggled To Overcome Disappointment<\/h3>\n

It was always going to be a tricky opening game for Huddersfield last week against Burnley after coming so close to Premier League status just a few months earlier.<\/p>\n

The Terriers went down early in that game through an Ian Maatsen goal and were completely dominated for the most part, getting outhustled in front of goal by Burnley to the tune of a massive 16-2 goal attempts disadvantage. Huddersfield will be hoping they can get back to business this week in Birmingham.<\/p>\n

Birmingham\u2019s Home Form Will Be A Focus This Year<\/h3>\n

Birmingham City struggled at home last season, winning just seven games at St. Andrews all season from a possible 23, a 30.4% win rate overall, and won just one of their final seven home games of the year as well.<\/p>\n

Birmingham\u2019s new manager John Eustace will be hoping that the defensive presence he\u2019s brought into the club during the off-season will be enough to curb that poor home form ahead of this season.<\/p>\n

Birmingham vs Huddersfield Prediction<\/h2>\n

We like the under in this game as Birmingham did a solid job of limiting Luton last week on defense, a team that coincidentally had last season\u2019s 5th highest goal rate at home, and Huddersfield also only allowed one goal to the Clarets last Friday despite getting dominated in that game for the most part.<\/p>\n

Birmingham managed just three shots on goal total in their Championship opener against Luton as their offense continues to struggle while Huddersfield couldn\u2019t even manage one against Burnley.<\/p>\n

We\u2019re expecting a similar result here on Friday and the outright draw can\u2019t be discounted either with such a high frequency of occurrences between the two clubs over the past few seasons.<\/p>\n

Take the Under 2.25 goals on Friday between Huddersfield and Birmingham with a view to the outright draw as well at a healthy +225.<\/p>\n
